Normally cars less than 2 years of age could be re-exported,
hence fetch higher values than scraping.
Mazda 323 1.6(M) year 2001, its engine manufacture year should be
year 2000.
Indeed, Mazda engine chassis is similar to Ford Laser.
Note that Mazda Japan is owned by Ford motor, and Ford Laser is
also using the same engine as mazda 323 in year 2001.
Of course now, Ford laser is made in Philiphines, no longer from
Japan.
If you talk to those experienced technical staff in service centre,
they can tell you that Mazda 323 year 2001 engine chassis see most
of them scraped in the market, by now.
Furthermore, generally Mazda 323 $OMV is low. With starting Mazda
1.3M $OMV at around $12K.
The reason why I know much on the Mazda 323 engine, cos I am
currently Ford Laser owner, which uses similar engine.
And I can tell you the engine is below average performance,
especially after 3 years.
