that bentley watch they did? says it all...

theres another brand, i can't remember, which i believe is even more popular amongst military pilots because of its simple but robust fuctionality.

to be frank with u .. i don't know when Ball was launched as a watch brand in Swiss despite its marketing campaign. My current understanding is that its trying to infuse technology into its watches, which can be interesting, but the designs leave much to be designed.

The chornograph sub dials on the watchs is a tad too cluttered for real use especially when you have time to glance at the passing time and not time to squint at the watch locating the.

Have you come across any bad comments on BALL watches?

I know that Americans have high regards to this brand, especially the first american to reach mount everest wear it and Webb Ball define the standards since 1891 that a lot of companies follows.

my sort of design preference is in watches like the Porsche Design Indicator for eg.

PD watches used to be highly sorted after, especially when they collobrated with IWC, to produce the Ocean 2000 Bund...and the range of compass watch etc.

However it was featured in serveral international Watch magazines.

isn't the 3H gas thingo also used by Traser ? Most tool watches have anti magnetic and shock as well .....

3K++ is not expensive? oh ok.

for chronograph I would rather go for Breitling

but i am wearing a simple Baume Mercier one (not chronograph), was about $1,200 almost 10 years ago, still wearing it everyday, still looks good.

I don't think I can get a Breitling chronograph for SGD3k++. USD3K perhaps.

Yes, but I think Traser is more of a military watch branch... if I am not not wrong. The pricing should be less than SGD 1K as well. They do not have chronograph watch..Andy McNab worn this during the Operation Desert Storm. Wink

Casio, Seiko has watches that are anti-magnetic too.. and the anti-shock watch that I can think of will be casio G-shock...These 2 are definitiely not my range.

though the IWC Pilots Chornograph is a nice watch ...looks gd and its a darn gd watch to wear to work, parties and even on the weekend.

IWC/Panerai will definitely appreciate in value.
tag heuer/rolex/ball are poor investments which will depreciate in value.

treat your watch like an investment , take IWC

Agreed, my watch will just be a time keeper with some style. Not really keen to use it as a investment as it will take decades to enjoy the return if any.
buy unit trust might be much faster...
