actualli, the inventors of P2p and Mp3 should be jailed....Why should people who are not responsible for the piracy but merely the consumpants should be puni...

Mr Soh SG

since when sg use static IP add? .....all same one.....

Mr Soh SG

the problem is with the hackers...and inventors of such things like Mp3, P2p...

But sadly i can say , hackers will always be around...

no more chiong games and windows

although they can't track your ip address they still can track your physical address in your computer cause every computer got it's own uique physical address and is the one and only in the world....

Mr Soh SG

Ad u know what this will open up the Pandora's Box, we will soon see a new breed of Stealth, Ip masking and other technologies out there by hackers.....just wait and see.....

LazerLordz SG

Because unlike courts in Australia and North Carolina, who have thrown out client info requests, we don't have a healthy culture of freedom from intrusion without due cause and just mere hearsay.

leddy SG

i wonder if ipod’s business will be affected by this…

margarita SG

why only 33? where r the others?

Those are old news. Laughing

Mr Soh SG

and they are forgetting one thing....this will not stop people buying the original stuff and burning a copy of ti for themselves and to sell it to their friends?

and this will also affect the industry sales.....

Mr Soh SG

then ban all cd writers ect ect..what is the point?.replication is the problem....not the sharing....

LazerLordz SG

The cultural shift is here to stay and the music industry has to evolve or face the dust.We need bands to utilise ICTs to sell their songs to the public straight and boycott these agents.

It's inevitable.Can RIAA instigate the jailing of 300million filesharers?They're 'avin a laugh.

hisoka SG

haha it has long been known that its always a race between the "bad" hackers and the "good" hackers

dranoel maxwell SG

well frankly speaking it's also due to MP3 that we wanna listen to the artist more.... in some sense when you download a MP3 of an unknown singer and you find it nice you will 100% want more songs of the singer and thus promoting the singer..... Laughing

Mr Soh SG

once cd sales rose 20% i think

Mr Soh SG

sharing is not the problem but replication is...The music industry needs to face this fact first that a cultural shift is happening due to advances in tech.

deathscythe99 SG

It's like saying that the computer is there and you should blame the computer for providing a tool for hacking...similar concept...just that the technology is there doesn't mean that the technology is @ fault...it's the person using it.

That being said, I still think that this "war" against illegal downloadings and stuff like that sure is interesting...much has unfolded in this year Rolling Eyes

tut4nkh4m3n SG

gosh the price to pay when getting caught is really harsh.

dranoel maxwell SG

they can’t help it lah…. technology is so advance unless you ban the technology of MP3s…. which i doubt will happen….. just don’t download so many MP3s in one go or keep on downloading and worse sharing it with people….. if you download already just listen for your own pleasure….

Sleeping Forest SG

maybe they shld setup a legal website tt has all kinds of songs inside. which we pay a subscription fees to download e music.

i dun buy cds cos somtimes only 1 or 2 songs out of e whole cd is nice. i rather download.
