If he's a singaporean, He is a rich man beyond unimaginable proportions!

In the past before 2000 Indian directors used to pay him up to SGD $600 000 (millions in Indian rupees) for a movie

That report was made in 2002 for the year 2001

Before:-

1)he met Andew Loyd webber. I am sure the westerners would have paid him a even bigger sum...

2) how much did Sony pay him for Warriors of heaven and earth

3) how much is being paid for the upcoming Lord of the Rings

4) a few other hollywood projects

In India celebrities dont recive royalties for music/movie sales , only a fix amount for a project. If the previous project becomes a hit, they will just increase their fees.
The bulk of the profits goes to music distributors and labels.

He realase a minimum of 2 to an average of 4 soundtracks a year. that means he can easily earn a million in one year. enought to last a lifetime

In the years 1994 , 1996 and 1999... His soundtracks soared to 8 or 9 per year.....Which means he earned that 1 million dollar mark long ago.

Your reasoning is wrong here. With that salary he couldhave just worked a few years and retired if money was his main intention. Why would have to span a career for 13 years?

Love Story SG

Jus for the info, Mr Rahman is a talented musician, technologist and a futurism idealist.. There are studies around the world in France & US being done on his music with research papers. The music is unbelievably different than the usual hindi film songs or even hollywood songs
