anyway for WB, what did u set it too ? or did u use 18%grey card ?

lcd..i tend to use the electronic viewfinder so shld be a problem....

anyway regarding the renesis shot, what u can do is shoot at an angle to the perspex surface....instead of shooting head-on, 90deg, shoot at say...45deg ? the bounced off light will hit something else instead of coming to the camera...

yea i waited till they got away from the rally subaru then i took the picture. cant stand them its so irritating when they sit all over the cars and block out the car itself. ppl who go to motorshows to see the racequeens shd be dragged out immediately. still rmb dreamcarsasia when all the guys were crowding ard the racequeens on stage. wad an amusing sight. thats wad i asked my fren too but he said it shd be okay. but it does look a little noisy when i zoom in to 100% but its not much of a problem to me. for WB i had it on manual. i jus aimed it off my white sch u pants cos i came from sch lol. i forgot wad an FZ1 was, jus ran a search and realised omg its tt damn cool one tt i wanted to buy but no money to.

but the perspex is cylindrical not flat so u'll def get some reflection off it if u aim at the engine itself. ohwell its not that big a deal cos i wasnt very interested in the engine. jus taking pics for fun.

my fren says i shd use a polarizer to get rid of the reflections but i think its very carshow-ish to have all the reflections and all tt. i think it makes the photos look nicer.

there's the 12x zoom isnt there? i tried my other friend's fz1 tt time it felt rly solid and the zoom was nuts. but i doubt i'll ever need that much zoom, though it'll be useful sometimes. the fx1 is a rly nice cam but the new fx2 and fx7 are so much smaller n lighter. like 1/4 the size.

ic. yea wait all the pics turn out dark or sth. my cam cant attack polarizer anw. so itll be very weird holding a piece of plastic over my lens while taking pictures. Very Happy

bismarck: FZ1 is 2mp rite? but 2mps more than enuf for normal sized photos unless u wana blow it up to larger size? and the pic quality of the FZ1 should be very good wif the Leica lens and the lumix system rite? my FX1 has OIS (stabilizer) system does urs? haha u're REALLY greedy.

TwinTurbo_Supra: mine isnt very good either. 3.6V 680mAh. left 1 out of 3 bars by the time i shot 128mb of photos at sg motorshow. tts very good alrdy cos i didnt play ard wif LCD. u shd try nt to play wif the LCD or keep seeing ur pics if u want batt life la. or get another batt from aftermarket?

haowee posted a pic of tt "gathering" on page 9 of the rare sighting thread. tts wad i saw.. those are diablos along with the gallardos outside the main door of the suntec convention. but i wus trying to take out my cam but my dad went past to the carpark.

image quality alright...but there;s a noise problem and focusing speed and accuracy...

leica lens...well. the real McCoy costs thousands of dollars. even for a small lens. so i mean, u can infer from this abt the quality of lens compared to a leica lens for SLRs

hmm. i guess the FZ1 is no match for the recent prosumers, let alone the SLRs haha. but for amateur photographers my FX1 is more than good enough. all i want are sharp pictures tt can be printed out decently. i suppose if u haf such a big lens focusing time will not be as short? i tried out the school photog club's nikon d70 dslr n i was very impressed with it. i wudnt mind getting a dslr in the future when i start working but the price is seriously woahhh.

i know nuts about lenses and all tt. thx for the info. mass produced lenses def cant match the specialised ones for the pros. jus like how u cant compare a corolla to the toyota f1 car lol.

if they want to call it a motorshow then they shd focus on the cars n not the women mah. can u imagine the little kids who play wif hotwheels cars coming with their parents to see the real cars or the hotwheels booth and all they see are skimpily-clad women in seductive poses all over the cars.

n the dynamic performances at all these car shows are also rly lacking. at dreamcarsasia there was this rly hyped up carpark rally but i heard it was a big letdown and was very boring. and this time all they have is tt guy doing tricks in the impreza and some robot racing lol. they shd rly organize more activities to get ppl excited esp car enthusiasts, especially for all the hype n news features the motorshow is receiving.
