Anyway, just to reiterate - I do intend to tell my parents at
the end from day 1. But I also know they will never agree to it.
But if I already got my license and bought my bike, they may get
upset but just have to accept it.
One thing you should NEVER do after you get your license though -
DO NOT pillion (carry passenger) until you are very familiar with
your bike. This is part of being responsible for your own
decision.
Anyway, I told my mum one month after I got my bike. She took it
peacefully, though a bit nagging. And you know what, after she got
use of the idea of me riding a bike, she kept asking me to pillion
her wanting the convinence herself. 
I gave in only after I am fully confident of my
skills with a bike.
