KopiKia, Which Bible in this world, did you read that Jesus Christ had a daughter? Are you so apt in starting controversial discussions?

sir, can i have some more knives pls?

Chin Eng SG

orr okay..... no problemo.....

I have the utmost respect for historians and archaelogists, regardless of which sides of theology they lean towards. These people has real passion in whatever they are doing.

Dan Brown??? Money grabbing novelist.... trying to masquerade as a truth presenter.

M©+square SG

Get it from Chin Eng. Mr. Green

I think i got ask b4...did he say his work is totally true? Confused

Chin Eng SG

actually it's implied very strongly in each book, in the preface. It goes something like: the events are fictious but the premises behind the events are real.... otherwise why would the Catholic church responded, protestant writers wrote tons of stuffs, plus people here in EH keep posting the "facts" behind the books. Not to mention his TV appearances and his refusal to back down from his claims.... His claims are a lot stronger that the typical "Base on a true story" claim that we might find in some movies.

Chin Eng SG

Aaa? How you know I collect sharp weapons....??? You'd been to my house??? Shocked Shocked

If indeed Jesus had a daughter then it had to be conceived after he was crucified. The logic is simple, his sacred duty was to shed blood to wash away all we human sins. By that it means to perform that task he cannot contaminate his blood with any human cuz they are now labelled sinful. If he violate that he would have defeated G*d purpose in sending his only Son to die for our sins.

However after he resurrected and completed his task, he can by all means copulate and have babies which I believe is possible. About Mary Magdalene being his wife it is possible also assume they do not copulate until the sacred task is completed. I read some say at point of cruxifixion, she is already pregnant? That is impossible cuz it will violate the reason in the above paragraph or it is only possible but the father of her baby is not Jesus himself Mr. Green

You know, actually, we won't know the truth. Maybe, the truth is that the Bible might be wrong.(no offence) Maybe the book was right? Somehow Jesus had a daughter, Mary Mangdalene was his wife, Knight of Templars existed? Who knows for sure. That's what make History fun. =D

The world surrounding us is a mystery. I actually like having these kinds of topic, as it shows you different opinions by other individualist. That's what a forums is for. To socialise, share opinons about certain topics etc etc. (im getting out of topic i know.)

Well, i might not be a Christian, but i somehow am fascinated by the book.

Northwind SG

Wrong. You're taking things out of context and mixing and matching so that it agrees with your accusation of the man.

He clearly states it is a work of fiction. It is a novel. There are certain undisputable "facts" that he uses in the novel, and twists them around, becuase....it's a novel....There are zero "claims".....
He has talent, because it's best-selling. Not to mention he did much more research about the various topics than most people here will ever do...

In all his public appearances he states what I've said above. His comment about the "outcry" was that it hopefully pushed more people to embrace their faith by futher study.

ShutterBug SG

Alright alright, so Jesus had a daughter. He had sons too! And grandmother, grandfather, then there were a few grandsons and grand daughters even!

If not wrong, his generation is living among us right now!!

Northwind SG

Um....There's no question about the existance of the Knights Templar......It is just the "extended" stories of them that are questionable.

leddy SG

I've always loved jesus as a historical figure than religious icon.
There is this new book by anne rice...called Christ the Lord:Out of Egypt, the book is about the life of a young christ, written in such a way as though recited by christ himself.... it's the similar written style of her vampire books... having the main character tell the story....

I've been anticipating this book for 1 yr already.... going to borders and get it right after my exams!

Rufio SG

maybe the KOT really existed. =D

@ least my post is somehow related to this topic and not every single post here are even somehow related Rolling Eyes

The Knights Templar exist and they are rumored to be knights of King Arthur. Why is this so? It is easy to draw reference. During that time Rome is facing decline and their own country is at stake so if they are any treasures where to put for safety? Simple.. ship them to a foreign country and engage a group of knights to guard it so that if Rome should survive and flourish again the treasure are protected and can be shipped back again.

Now if King Arthur marry a women of Rome royal lineage won't he indirectly mean he has got hold of the treasures under his watchful eyes? Treasures are rumored to be a lot but somehow I read books talking about the chalice cup, the spear that speared Jesus, the crown of thorns, the shroud etc etc Mr. Green

Conclusion: Knights Templar are warring knights fully armed and loaded and definitely not your typical so meek and innocent priest in their robes.

Rufio SG

Hence the name KNIGHTS of Templar. =D

but the thing i like most about Dan Brown's book is, other facts come into place. about the measurement from your finger to your whatever body part is the same, something like that. some maths involved,(the first part of the book)

and in Angels and Demons, there's such a thing called Anti-matter, where they collide and there's a big explosion or some sort.(was that part true? i can't remember)

its just that the book broaden our minds and get us thinking, is all this real? i like those kinds of book. =D

Tell summarise your version you have ?

Note Rome did extend their empire all the way to Britain but did not stay long enuff to conquer it satisfactorily. Remember the Gladiator movie when Rome soldiers are in a winter land fighting battle with the painted tribal ppl they called the Picts. That is somewhere in Britain.

So the link of Rome to King Arthur is a logical deduction Mr. Green
