Last vehicle in accident

Was driving this morning when the car infront of me collided into the other car infront of it

Due to the sudden event, I couldn't stop in time and collided onto the car infront of me ending up having me to be the last veh of a chain accident

I wasn't tailgating nor speeding at that time

I know being the last vehicle is very very seriously unlucky, from what I expect I will be claiming on my on insurance and on top of that, the car infront of me will be claiming my third party as well am I right?

"you must either be speeding, or not maintaining the safe following distance, if not, why couldn't you brake in time ?" .....

There’s something very wrong in the insurance industries here.
Premiums will go up regardless of your clean driving records.
The NCD thing is a sham!.It’s just there to hookwinke us into believing that the ins companies are there to protect our interests and that will be last thing in reality.
The truth will surface when you’re involve with an accident.
But car drivers have no choice as it is mandatory to have ins coverage.But what are the relavant authorities doing to address this problem?I wonder?Or are they doing anything about it?

Well I have encountered one such accident myself in the past, being the last car.

The only thing I can say is, suck thumb cos you are the last car and they will just say u never keep a safe following distance, tailgate people blar blar blar. End up your insurance company pay 100% of your charges and next year your insurance premium shoots up.

You can tell the whole world the car jam brake in front and u no time to react...most likely no one will believe u.

Its a hard fact which I have learn to accept.

under normal , the chances of u hitting any 1 backside is super super low at low speed. unless u really wan to lick the front car backside.

u must be following very closly behind as not to let other car cut into yr lane.

ever heard of the 2 second rule?

no matter if the guy in front of you "jam brake" or whatever, if you are following this rule, you will not hit the car in front of you as you will have enough space and time to react (unless you were on medication, which then you should not be driving) and stop safely...

i know.. i was the 1st car which "caused" a 3-car crash... because i was following the 2 second rule, the guy in front of me jammed his brakes, i stopped in time.. the guy behind me stopped in time too.. and the 3rd car was tailgating smashed into the guy behind me which then smashed into me, destroying my boot..

now.. think about it...

do you really know and follow the 2 second rule?

btw.. the asshat in the last car was trying to claim against me, saying i "anyhow brake"

to which i replied "where do you want me to go? into the car in front of me? and the car behind me can stop safely.. your brand new qashqai cannot? or were you just tailgating?"

unless the guy in front of you backs into you, you have no defence in cases like this mainly because you did not keep a safe distance...

that 2 second rule ensures you do... now, go read up on it..
