Questions on Tackling corners

I’ve seen people using FD playing the akina map. On the 1st hairpin corner, they shift their car to the inner lane. When approaching the turn, they turn the steering wheel to the left and then right. The turn was nice and the speed was 135km/h. Is this method very good to use?? Normally i can take that corner at 130km/h but i wanna go faster. What do i do to attain that skill?? If anyone uses this skill, please teach me when to brake and when to release accelerator.

No, you are wrong here. The engine is in the front of the vehicle, but the rear wheels are the drive wheels. This type of car has a great tendency for oversteering, and throttle management is very important when exiting corners to try to prevent the oversteer condition and to prevent it from drifting too much.

tats true but my FD dun seem to drift when i tackle a corner. My FD is like i have to bang the wall before clearing a corner at a high speed.

maybe the game is made that way. Or maybe you drift too much until you bang the wall?

btw, the method of driftin that you have mentioned earlier is known as Faint Drift.
Faint Drift - This is done by rocking the car towards the outside of a
turn and then using the rebound of grip to throw the car into the normal cornering direction. (Like in Initial D when Truneo first race against FD and this is heavy rally racing technique used to change vehicle attitudes during cornering, mainly tight mountain corners).

yeah that turn can be cleared at 140kph min easily ... just make sure u enter the corner in the outer line =] hope it helps! gd luck Razz

Hi there...I suppose you did a full turn of the steering wheel when entering the corner. It happens when you does that. Try not to turn the wheel fully to enter corner...turn roughly more than half of the wheel and turn to full when inside the corner.

hey Ryousuke_FC3S, my advice on not to turn the wheel fully to enter corner is not for faint drift. It is just for normal drift to tackle the corner which you mentioned you are having problem going around it. So don't go and try it out for a faint drift...both are done differently.

yah...Impreza WRX, Ryousuke_FC3S is indeed driving a FD...thought that FD is for Mazda only. Read his previous postings...

I guess he is driving a Spirit R instead of a Type R...cos he said he has to bang the wall before clearing a corner at a high speed. I could be wrong anyway...just a guess.
