its based on experience la...juz tink as a normal turn left or rite while u r drivin...juz dat nw its reverse n at a slower speed....awaes look wats behind ur car!

as u go along u'll noe roughly when to turn...hw much to turn...n so on...its juz like practising shootin....

techniques like for vertical parkin...awaes keep further away frm the parkin lot n for parallel parkin...keep at the center of the road...all these do help....

parrellel parking to me not a prob..but when it comes to reverse with no vehicle on either side..cham! is sure take 1 and a half lot..haha...parrellel the most crucial part is to reverse 'deep' enuff into the lot..if not the car will not be near to the roadside..as for when to turn reverse till yr rear wheel allign to the bumper of the car beside den turn lock immediately..den reverse in deeeeepp..haha..den guage whether yr front can turn in not..

comes very much with experience la..another impt pt is muz noe the size of yr ride well..den can estimate properly.. Very Happy

i was deducted 6 pts (2pts x 3 times) during my driving test because of parallel parking....but heng ar...only those 6 pts....other areas perfrect! n passed during my 1st driving test. Razz

grats dude. with the poles i tink parallel parking is easy lehz. coz the angles are all there already juz have to turn at the right time.

make full use of your mirrors...and do park more often...cuz all these just need one thing and that is experience...we can't just explain to you without you to do yourself...but be extra careful to other cars...make sure that you don't scratch any when doing your parking... Wink

I learnt somethin which i found very useful... Coz in learnin, awaes got poles as guidelines mah... Come to outside, no poles..

mY inst taught me tis.. For left side parkin, the pt to use is, the car headlight, the one beside the lot u want go in, reach the triangle area of ur car, then full lock go in liao lor... U slant the car abit when going in, easier...

Then see see side mirror, make sure don hit anythin lor...

If rite side, same as direction change...

no cars, as guidelines, eh... got to ownself judge liao.. tis i by luck by luck go in only... hehee Embarassed

Eh, regardin the direction change.. U full lock mus be faster lor... I got tis prob b4.. To overcome it, instead of the usual pt whereby u start full locking, u full lock abit earlier lor... Practise more, sure full lock fast de.. Control ur clutch.. half clutch go in, slowly.. anywae not lik vp, no time limit...

Mi - took 3 lessons on direction change alone.. Embarassed

LoL .....me suck big time on parking my frens cars.... can't really understand cause in BBDC my parking never really had a problem ... relly worried when my new car arrives i will cockup!! Oh yeah abt the triangle thing for P parking... guess it through thought by my instructer tooo... nw the problem is V parking!!! Rolling Eyes

for parking...see the car's front light for guide...if the ground got line better use the line to park also..

BUT please do not park head first just because its easier to go in...i have a bad impression of those drivers..trust me..head go in first is VERY difficult to come out...so please dont be lazy... Razz

as for parallel parking..its always agaration loh...also must see driver skills... Smile

But right side cannot use tis same method.. coz my inst told me somethin bout wheels and dunno wat.. the different position, etc...

So if do rite side parkin... Think is do the same as the direction change bah.. tried b4.. but dunno why so diff.. haha.. or mayb coz i have done it only once! Wink
