Please help me! Need some tips!

hey people....i just joined this forum....damnnn it's so tight..
learned a lot about the game already from reading everything...

anyways, i'm just a noob at this game so i would just like the experts out there to give me some tips on driving...

i would just like to know the procedure that come before making a turn....for example, like are you suppose to brake then shift down, then turn? Or release the pedal, brake, then turn? Is shifting down neccasary? Is braking neccesary? When and how should you brake to make the most perfect turn?

And about the Out-in-out technique, do u turn into the apex of the turn? Would it not be fast if you take the opposite lane of the turn, then turn your car into the turn as close to the rail as possible?

Just a few questions in my head....thanks.

PS. Also, does anyone know wat a carbon bonnet is? Or what a bonnet is in general? Like wat does it do?

The correct way of slowing down is to release the accelerator, brake, and down shift.. Shifting down is neccesary when your current gear doesn't have enough horse power to increase the speed..

Braking is neccesary as it is one of the fastest way in slowing down. You can slow down by down shifting and releasing the accelerator which is the known as engine brake.. or you can pull the hand brake lightly to slow down your vehicle..

You should brake at the time before you enter a turn. You should know whats the limit you can go for that turn. For example, if that turn is a 180degree hairpin turn, you definitely need to apply the brake and down shift before turning. but if it's just a slight bend, you can release the accelerator for better grip as your car's weight will be shifted to the front tires..

If you were to take a turn on the outside of a curve, you will definitely loose a second or less. By using the out-in-out technique, you are trying to take the straightest path as straight as possible..

but how do you get your car to have the right speed as to make the turn in an out-in-out style? Cuz I’m sure if I did that, I would need to brake a lot firstly to slow my car down so it doesn’t go too fast and hit the railing…by braking so much, wouldn’t it slow the speed of your turn? How is it possible to have the greatest speed when exiting turns?[/quote]

A bonnet is the front piece of metal that is covering the engine, the radiator, the turbo, and many more .. A carbon bonnet is basically a bonnet made of carbon and is black in colour..

That is why you need to experiment it everytime you take the turn and perfect it.. you should always brake to the correct speed and make the turn.. not too early or too late..

one last question though for now...
does the bonnet make a difference to the car's performance? For example, during parts change, you can change the bonnet...does that make a difference to the car?

Well, the carbon fibre bonnets are usually much lighter than the OEM factory made versions. As such, light weight will usually increase your power to weight ratio of your vehicle. Thus giving your car more "power" in that sense.
