2nd link is the most straight forward. Unless u going at a odd hour, don't mind the jam, want to save that few bucks....

The last time i climbed up Genting, start off around 3am from Singapore. Go via causeway, no traffic. Chiong all the way...have breakfast around Batu Caves area. First light, start the journey up the mountain.. Cool

Different people have a pace that is suitable for themselves. Fast driver is not driving a pace that is comfortable to them when they have to slow down to wait for the slow drivers. The vice versa applies.

Always predetermine a location to meet in the front, and each go at his own pace and meet later. If it possible get a walkie talkie for all the cars. Save cost , safety and communicate better... Cool

Check causeway/Tuas Traffic condition at 68630117. Use the same number when you come back to decide which way to go. Nowadays, evening and weekends jam very often. So, choose your timing wisely. Tuas is also not always better. Sometimes, Tuas jam, causeway no jam. Last Saturday evening causeway until siao. Also, book your lodging at genting before you go over. Safer. Don’t want your holiday spoil right.

last week there was a landslide due to heavy rain along karak highway which leads to kuantan…this highway is the one most motorists use to get to genting from KL ….. do take care. i dun exactly know which stretch of the h’way was affected but read that the road is now closed to traffic travelling from kuantan to KL.
