Mr Fugue SG if you dig music that modulates ALOT (like one mod in a few measures), please listen to any piece by J.S.Bach. bach's music modulates so often (and so smoothly) that you dun even notice it~!
Rahmania SG holy christ, this is supposed to be mainstream....The music is from, this soundtrack of Rahman.........in this soundtrack rahman had used minimal instruments, there are others which are more enriching... :

Mr Fugue SG save your effort~!! all the samples you posted has been embarrassing. do not compare his music to bach, it's a disgrace to rahman. no modern composers' work is ever on par with bach's!

Rahmania SG I told u ARR does not do symphonic music often......He is techno composer....u hear that? his expertise is in industrial forms of music..I dont think bach can do those.....don compare peope in different fields of expertise....this is pretty good for modern composer already....
Rahmania SG Agree with u, u cant compare musicians from different periods of time. I have listened to Bach but . Rahman is also doing a good job in classical stuff. Their styles are different.

Mr Soh SG Fugue, stop comparing apples with oranges. Bach does modulation in what sense is it better? I think the AR kind of modulation is new and innovative. They just belong to different periods of time.
