u need to make sure u’re not running any other program that accesses the harddisk… if harddisk move only the program restarts…

Using Windows built in defrag ar? I use norton… Windows if reboot also can’t, then prob have to log in Safe Mode…

Start Windows in safe mode.

(To do this, restart your PC. Just before the Windows logo screen comes up, press F8 if you are using XP or press DEL if you are using Win98, 95 etc.

Then select Safe Mode.)

Then defrag.

Physical surface error. Usually unrepairable. Defrag will never let you defrag again, don't bother with norton or O&O, they will give you the same reply. Laughing

go, control panel, add remove programs, add/remove windows component, deselect everything except Accessories and utilities, click details, select disk defrag,....i think so...haha forgot...then install...

do diskcleanup, scandisk before defrag...if prob persist...either file corrupted cldnt correct or hdd spoilt liao....
