Anyone applied for it already? The now aggresively advertisement? They have a 1% rebate cash for SP Svcs and Starhub bills. But then only free one year leh... wait wanna cancel very troublesome.

For ppl who are Starhub Maxonline, mobile, SCV getting this card is great cuz rebate can save a lot per month. But I think I still stick to my M1-Citibank visa. Their concept similar.... now I wonder if I can forward my SP Svcs bill to Citibank.... or they only take POSB Mastercard? Own country companies help own contry companies only ? Mr. Green

I might consider it, as it will better since i started out with POSB bank since i was little.

They have quite a substantial list of perks including krisflyer milage and others.

Not really standard. I have got cards say OCBC-Safra, OCBC-Robinsons all offer me 3 yrs free leh..... and latest is Citibank one time off promotion allow Sup card to be life free of annual fees!!!! Yes life time free as long as principal card holder still is customer Mr. Green

There are always such promotion coming along just need to sieve out the best deals

It shouldn't be free for too long cuz me after 1 yr later start to charge annual fee. But I think go world wide travel citiibank more recognised and furthermore points gained is bonus cash can help to offset M1 phone bill and their auto roaming activation charge is free and now with free sup card for life and their better customer service it is a good card to have. It will be good if SP Svcs, Town Council conservancy charges can all be charged to visa then I get more cash to offset my phone bills.....maybe even NTUC groceries also can use.....

Rule of thumb for me is have a internationally recognised card and a local bank one for local needs Mr. Green

each month, i write one cheque..

They do allow inter-bank fund transfer to pay for your bills. I switch mode of payment as they say give me $5 bonus cash to switch. Now I go totally paperless even their bill I view online.... so convenient.

But still muz have cheque book cuz those small contractors like clean aircon fix windows clear blocked pipes paint house companies etc still ask for cash or cheque they no take card Mr. Green

Maybe one fine day all totally paperless only a PC connected to internet can already including go hawker pay money use card hahahhaa..... then my rice bowl can extend until I retire since all things now need computer systems hahhaa.....

Currently on UOB VISA and am quite happy with it so far.

3 yr waiver ? anyhow, i try to get zero if possible. Must inquire when they will waive annual charges lifetime.

But citibank as i recall do not waive annual fees. A fren cancelled his card becoz of that even though he was spending on average 1-2.5K a month on accomodation and travel expenses and always paid up on time.

UOB Visa got good discount for a lot of eateries and restaurants but ppl like me seldom eat at restaurant so can give it a miss.

Citibank waive annual fees is depend on the points you have over the past year rite? They have partial waiver but then I seldom reach those points as I only care to redeem bonus cash to m1 Mr. Green

I have AE long time ago and I think some shops prefer visa over them. A matter of preference in local shops so I fedup when time up cancel card. Wat's the use of a card if some shops prefer visa over them rite?

AE is not popular nowadays coz the commission is something like 2-3% compared to the 1-1.5% for Visa and Mastercard?

No retail outlet is going to pay more if he can pay less.
