Hi,
I got a question about petrol octanes. Does the extra mileage
offered by 98 octane petrol outweigh its extra cost versus pumping
92 octane?
I've recently switched to fuelling up with 98, but a quick
calculation showed that i was still getting 11km/litre, which is
around my normal mileage on 92 anyway. But for just for that tank,
my driving cycle changed (ie more urban driving than
highway).
Anyway, I've pumped another tank of 98, resumed my normal highway
driving cycle. So I'll see how consumption goes.
