Do you mix different brands n type of fuels?

Just curious... is it necessary to say, when you pump SHell, then die die stick to it?

Ok is it ok to say 1/2 shell, n then 1/2 esso? Is it ok if sometimes pump 98, then sometimes pump 95 oso??

Btw, how much do you ppl here spend on fuel per mth?? Idea

At the spped limits on Singapore roads, I don't think it makes any difference.

i spend near $400 a month on petrol but i drive 2 different cars (depending which car is parked outside).. toyota camry 2.2 and 320i.. but during holidays the $$ spent is about $250-$300..

i drive alot.. from home to sch.. and back home.. some times break inbetween.. i go home too.. i live serangoon aread and i study in clementi..

best not to mix petrol although its okay to do so.. ask the car dealer about the petrol recommended.. for example the cars that i use uses premium unleaded but not normal unleaded...

premium unleaded
- Shell = 98
- Mobil = 8000
- Esso = ???
- SPC = ???
- BP = ???
- Caltex = ???

not sure for the other petrol stations cuz nv really go there.. those who can fill in.. fill it in..

is ok to mix fuel as the process to make fuel is the same.

The only difference is the amount of addictives they added in the process.
I heard this from my friends who has a friend that work in petrol industry.

i try not to. i stick to mobil 98 for our own cars and go for SPC 98 for rented vehicles. Mr. Green

Unless your car is those 70's to 85.... then you shall not used Premium unleaded.
I dont know why(in term of chemistry interpretion).... but old old engine need this low octane fuel. Saw an article on this before...
Low octane fuel got something that are required by the construct/material of old engine.... Sad

It's okay to mix between Brands. Eg SHell,Mobil,SPC etc

But try not to mix between different RONs. Opt for one and then stick to that particular RON.eg, 95 or 98.

I'm driving a 12yr old 1.0l car.Its giving me at least 16-20 km/litre. On an average month,I spend abt $160 on petrol.
