Mr Soh SG years ago i preferred Toshiba Tvs for their sound :- the Bomba series is the best tv I owned.The sound is quite good for tv.
ne0matrix SG For Plasma, can't go wrong with Pioneer but the price.... LCDs, Sharp lah. Normal TVs.... Sony, Panasonic.
mumof2 SG My Panasonic flat screen lasted only 5 years. Now replaced by Hitachi LCD. So far so good – clear and detailed, good sound. Was originally eyeing at Sharp LCD but quality-wise, Hitachi scores. It came with a free multi-region DVD player too.

ditzy SG Another brand one would usually overlook in terms of reliability is phillips. Its been a long time, I dunno if they are still manufacturing tv sets.
