nativity church at hougang not bad, got neighbourly feel and the young crowd there seems quite friendly.

churches in katong and bukit batok are frequented by the rich. but then again, there's no material rich or poor in the eyes of god :)

That's the way it generally is with parishioners in Singapore - people who aren't involved in the ministries don't often get involved in the parish community. However, no one will open up to you unless you do it first, so get to know a few familiar faces first. I like the music arrangements for Sunday Mass at Good Shepherd. It inspires, though prayer is largely between you and God.

i find it rather excessive and feel like a concert and when it come to the sermon can't really heard well and they refused to get it air cond so that we can "hear" the sermon.

From all that I have attended so far, I particularly like Blessed Sacrament Church, it is one of the reason I choose to live nearby.

try St Francis Xavier......beautiful church but hard to access unless you drive. there's a bus stop just a few steps from the church's entrance but not sure what bus goes there.

the sermons there by Fr Bosco and Fr Brian are interesting. Fr Ambrose preach there once a month too.

one thing that i noticed is that they have lots of alter boys (as much as 19-20 during sunset mass)!!!

Hi! I would like to know which Catholic Church in Singapore has the most conducive environment for praise and worshipping with friendly and warm parishioners? I have been attending St. Ignatius Church for the past few years and don't find the place comfortable as I don't feel very connected to the church environment which is filled with so many affluent parishioners . Can someone recommend me a more suitable catholic church ?

many years ago, st michael's church had P&W on the 1st & 3rd Sat by Fr Vincent Lee (??) and was very "HOT" then but it has died down. From my experiences, most parish charismatic groups are still very mild and not so vibrant unlike pentacostal/AOG/charismatic churches. Sometimes during catholic P&W, they invoke the intercession of the BVM, Saints and angels.....Some praise songs they sing are in the 1950s/60s era

The newer ones are nice, but I prefer the traditional look.

St Anne used to be very ulu and quiet, with population of only a few hundred Catholics. But since the development of Ponggol, Sengkang areas, this parish has grown much.

Anyone remembered Father Tay From Holy Trinity? Voice very loud in sermons. Everytime want to dose off always kanna wake up by his Thundering Voice.

Fr Tay now at sacred heart.. like to warm up singing before mass.. now i dun know..
