No, pirus work on 2 trains of drive for power, battery and
petrol engine complimenting each others.
When on City/town, whereby there are lots of stoppage, battery
will takes over the power to drive the car.
When on highway/expressway, whereby traffic is smooth, the
petrol engine will take over and at the same time, charge the
battery, there is not a need to have charging point for the
battery, the engine will act as the charger.
Battery lifespan can last for more than 10 years, Toyota
guarantee battery for 10 years.
However, as you drive along, after few years, the battery get
weaker, so the petrol consumption will go up.
Oic thks! So still not too bad to drive pirus as it is not
solely petrol operated.
