i don't know.. i'm against the casino idea.. but ultimately, its
a choice everyone has to make. i mean, the temptation is there, but
whether you choose to yield to it, that's the difference..
i mean, i've got friends who smoke, i've seen smokers, etc, but i
chose not to smoke.
i'm sure there're plenty of places where people have underground
gambling, but i can choose not to gamble, i prefer to play bridge
with my friends. the casino won't affect me, but i'm afraid it will
affect my kids. their friends might pull them into it to
play.
casinos will also cause the loan shark business to thrive, and
cause more problem in the socieity. but i understand why the govt
is considering this move.. to improve the economy and attract more
tourists. but where's the line? maybe next time prostitution will
be legalized etc...
i understand its no use trying to shelter the kids from all these..
but at least give them a chance to build up a moral standard before
letting them face the world..
