Kuali Baba SG The spells you read about in the play were real ones used in Shakespeare's time, and the unhappy witches put a curse on it.
tut4nkh4m3n SG just can't appreciate shakespeare stuff. damn school just made us do merchant of venice for literature, it's too boring, i can't get their deep english...
carpe diem jur SG erm... hahar !! life has been very kind to mi recently... i dun wanna kill my gud luck yet leh...
the Bear SG uhh.. i'm still kinda surprised people don't know what MacBeth is about and Kuali is right.. it's cursed!
the Bear SG not the studying part.. but books, plays, stuff like that.. the expression of ideas, through words, music, song, dance, anything... to me, they're all subsets of literature
a_splash SG Macbeth, eerrrie leh.....i can only rem the part he kept washing his hands. prefer pride and prejudice another book i had for literature howabout oliva twist, that one is nice too. but now i can only rem the part he asked for food? ......but only interested to read them all as stories, hate test and exams.....
carpe diem jur SG yeah.. like wat bear said... but is becoz of studies that introduced us to literature... kinda appreciate the fact that we do not totally hate literature after all the studying and test...
Kuali Baba SG I tried reading 'Pride & Prejudice' on my own once, and after reading and re-reading the first 30 or so pages I couldn't follow it anymore.
carpe diem jur SG i think normal la.. but of course no slippers, bermudas, etc.... jeans and t-shirt ok liao...
