Being an independent bookseller is tough. Couple years ago, it
was BooksActually in danger of losing its lease.
This time is the much newer Booktique.
In an announcement on Facebook, the founder, Anthony Koh Waugh
states that sales haven't been up since November (due to the poor
economy, duh), so here's what you can do: go buy a book or get gift
vouchers ($20, $50 and $100 ones are available) and ask to rent the
back room for workshops. If you can buy the books in bulk, even
better. The store is located at Citylink Mall's B1-17. You'll be
able to find work by local writers, lots of books on how to publish
and a some coffee table books, too.
Email Anthony here to purchase vouchers and find out
how to rent the back room here.
