SINGAPORE: Book lovers in Asia can now look forward
to a new e-bookstore.
More than 300,000 titles are on offer at
ilovebooks.com, a MediaCorp digital
initiative.
The online store offers books in 50 categories for
download.
It's the first Singapore bookstore to sell e-books
internationally.
MediaCorp's managing director for convergent media, Philip Koh,
hopes it can promote a love for reading.
Mr Koh said: "We're hoping to actually bring books back in front of
people because a lot of them are actually using handheld devices,
their tablet devices for other purposes. So we'll like to bring the
books back into their hands."
