From Tech
Digest:
Nokia have said that from 2007 all their
phones will be given proper names rather than numbers and
other codes. According to their marketing chief, the names will
carry a meaning and will be important to their customers.
Apparently the market has been confused by all the model numbers
that have been released by Nokia and other manufacturers. Sounds
like me. I was never really into the Nokia phones and was amazed at
everyone who could distinguish phones by their number and remember
all the features that each had.
We'll have to wait to see what names Nokia chooses to evoke the
importance and meaning of their next batch of phones, and whether
they'll use English or have localised versions.
Do you care if your mobile has a name?
