Omg.
How insensitive are these employers?!
I think there should be an initiative by Muslims in Singapore to
educate non-Muslim employers about respecting the basic tenets of
their Muslim employees - I don't mean in an unreasonable manner of
course such as the whole non-Muslim family eat halal food for
example.
For example, perhaps they should also try to encourage matching
Muslim employers with employees (for maids perhaps?) so that it
won't cause discomfort with one another.
Perhaps allowing the maid to have her own utensils which did not
touch pork so she can cook for herself while preparing her
employer's meals.
Btw, how do you know these maids are Muslims? Did you just
assume?
