Go for it, LazerLordz. Go with an open mind. Give yourself a
chance and give the country of residence a chance too.
My first two years were a struggle for me. I've been so spoilt in
Sg, I guess with the convenience. There were adjustments and
surprisingly, although I was young, I was not so receptive to the
changes. Maybe I am really very tng lang.
But then
came a matter of getting use to it. Then, everything fall into
place.
I was blessed. Other than my own personal struggles, other facets
of my life in Canada has been very smooth.
I've got friends who were successful in their careers back in
either S'pore or M'sia, but even after living here for 16-17 years,
their career in Canada never took off. But I've got friends who
within a month of landing in Toronto, secured high paying jobs with
successful companies.
So, it is really an individual thing. Obviously, on one hand, we
can say we ask God for His guidance if indeed this is the path for
you. But on the other hand, we can also say, fate.
For me, I'll say "Just do it" otherwise you'll never know.
Good luck with your plans, LL and I have a feeling you'll be
alright!
