I just got back from eating at the worst ever Chinese/Japanese
restaurant I've ever had the bad luck to visit. Yuck, yuck,
yuck.
The Kung Pao chicken wasn't spicy at all, in fact it was very
bland. It came with one piece of shrimp tempura (very yuckyily done
tempura, the one I make is miles better, if I do say so myself) and
one piece of gyoza. Stingy! With 2 small scoops of rice, I paid
US$7.95. What a rip!
The hubster and daughter had a bento set. The kitchen sent out the
wrong order for my daughter and the waitress was complaining all
the way to the kitchen in Cantonese. The hubster didn't like his
selection and barely touched his plate. My son had two pieces of
tamago for US$3.95 (rip!!!!) and two pieces of masago (same price).
He said the seaweed was dry and stiff. Good grief. Every dish took
a while to arrive so that compounded the insult. The entire torture
came to US$26.40 and of course we didn't leave a tip.
Grrrr!!!
We only had dinner out because I wanted a nice meal before
tomorrow's scheduled dental surgery. I hope this isn't an omen.
