well it is true wo….just stand outside a Toyota VIOS or Corolla lor if you don’t believe me…and compare the noise with a Made-in-Japan Corolla…and also view the engine design and housing lor….the Made-in-Thailand one is sooooo messy…..and full of markers markings and ticks…...to tell people that they (Thai) has checked this and checked that….blah blah….who knows…maybe they just ticked for fun nia….

Actually, toyota cars are still pretty good. In terms of power, i think they are excellent.
Tok about Lancer, its really good to see only.. engine is really laggy. Shocked

There is a news from TOYOTA HQ in Japan. All Toyota cars will equipped with "OFFICE POLITIC" feature "Talk louder than Action". Otherwise the driver don't know the engine is working

i.e the boss must know you are working if you make a lot of noise. Got it!

Market trend mah. Like Honda engine so loud then ppl think is chio and powerful.
So vvt-i also must make it loud give less insulation(save $$ on rubber) then u ppl say wah seh its so loud and powerful engine.

No wad…i sat in the Vios b4 and its more quiet than my car….smae goes for corolla….these 2 cars are excellent…toyota have come a long way since the early days

Made in Japan Lancer is just as bad.... give it 2 years with high mileage! Wo! Drives like a diesel! The Made in Thailand has some more room for improvements. VVTi engine FC is very good.

Maybe there are less metals, less glass and less sound proof materials or lousy tyres being used. Had been in a renault megane before, wow very quiet and powerful man ! But this car is heavy with thick glass.

So for Toyota, maybe they give up junk metals and glass to save you fuel.

maybe the thai ppl tou gong jian liao and use lower grade parts... btw the mitsubishi seriously can stop making cars liao, look at their ralliart lancer turbo... they have money problems then try to attract those chiongsters to their turbo version of the lancer. total failure ah... so little power. instead of making money they r losing more money...
