Sure she has a point that the hospital partially ruined her
quality of life, and they should indeed compensate her for the
misdiagnosis. But on the bright side, she doesn't have AIDS.
She should at least appreciate getting a new lease on life, that
would be her own personal test, separate from the lawsuit
outcome.

Edited to add : the hospital can and should argue for the
possibility of spontaneous remission, which in truth, *is* possible
(there has been at least 1 documented case), just very
unlikely.
