Quick thinking, even if she may not have been pretending (she
told the cops she was pretending, doesn't mean she actually was).
But that alone didn't make the rapist give up, it only caused him
to relax his guard, giving her the opportunity to escape. A hornier
rapist might still have raped her on the spot, or a more vigilant
rapist still wouldn't have let her escape. In other words, she was
still lucky... among the unlucky.
