According to Shanghaiist, the incident took place last year on
March 30 in Rowland Heights, California, where then-18-year-old
Yiran "Camellia" Liu was stripped, beaten and tortured by her
schoolmates.
Liu, claims that the group of students stripped her naked,
forced her to eat sand, shaved her head and burned her. It is
revealed that the dispute arose from jealousy between the victim
and the defendants.
"Just slow it down and don't hit her so hard, and we can do it a
longer stretch of time," gang ringleader Yunyao "Helen" Zhai was
quoted as saying during the attack, according to Liu's
testimony.
