really, study so hard, undergo so much stress for what?
Majority of us have missed out on the really important subjects
we need for our lifetime:
1) Financial knowledge (Compounding interests, Net present value,
Inflation, Future value, Stocks, Bonds, Commodities, Depreciation,
etc)
2) How to handle stress
How much of the knowledge we learnt at school is applied or
used?
Especially Singapore, we need so much engineers meh?
What the mainstream education doing is just attempting to stuff
knowledge into the children through lots of means and ways.
i don’t see any attempt to improve the characters or personalities
of the children.
This is the failure of the mainstream education.
Unfortunately, what’s done is done and has become a vicious
cycle. Their parents, brought up under the mainstream education
system will have little knowledge or means to aid in educating the
children in this aspect.
No doubt there will be some who are able to help their children
on this but the effort is rendered less effective given what the
mainstream education system is.
Haizzz, Sg education still has some ways to go.
