What we know for certain is that Joseph "had no union with her until she gave birth to a son" (Matthew 1:25). The "until" seems to imply that he did enjoy sexual union with Mary after Christ's birth. There is no indication that their abstinence was permanent.

so how? Laughing are both the RC church and the protestant church deluded? or do they only see what they want to see.

Actually the fact that Mary was mentioned with other four women in the genealogy - Rehab, Tamar, Bathsheba and Ruth - tells us something.

ok... this part is debatable.... though you were right on this in that there is no conclusive indication that their abstinence was permanent, there is on the flip side neither conclusive indication that their abstinence was not permanent.

on the topic Perpetual Virginity of Mary, it only show 2 things
1) Mary remains a Virgin till death.
2) Mary was highly honored.

ask any Catholics... most if not all will dispute worshiping her.

The doctrine might be similar to certain pagan ideas, but it might not originate from those pagan ideas.

I'd say Constantine was only instrumental in convening the council, not the doctrine.
