went to thailand last week. there are sure a lot of altises there. the window visors there cost S$40+ per set (four). Is this cheaper than Singapore?

hi guys.... i collected my altis last friday and has been having fun driving it..... however, dat day when it rains, i activated the wiper and heard some squeaking sounds coming from the wipers...... is it common? i not sure whether to raise tis up with my SE and during my 1st 1k km svcing.... anybody else having the same prob? Question

Try to clean your windscreen n wiper thoroughly. Squeaky sounds usually cause by oil residue. Add a little 'mama lemon' in the wiper spray. Tat should help. Cool

erm...try changing the suspension systems and upgrade those wheels if you wanna have a better effect. if not, guess its wasting $$. Wink

Been driving my new Altis for 3 weeks now...so far so good except for the wind noises which can be quite irritating sometimes... Just a query, should overdrive be ON or OFF when we are doing normal driving? Read in the book that it should be turned on for better fuel economy.... Any advice out there Wink

Overdrive should be on lah brudder...if not you'll drag with 3rd gear!!! Shocked

when do i on the OD then? when cruising or when i start to drive off? i havent been using my OD at all.... tot just need to step on accelerator n go.... Laughing

Well, OD 'ON' means leave it alone...for normal driving. I only OD 'OFF', also shown on the console, when there is a requirement to overtake. 'OD' is like the Fifth gear.

Well the guys at TCS seems to notice improvements to their ride when they installed the z-stab with grounding. Not sure about the strut bar though.

well OD = ON is equivalent to driving with all your active gears (4 Forward Gears)

when OD = OFF, the maximum gear your automatic transmission will engage is 3rd Gear.

it is usually used when you wan to do Overtaking when you are cruising or gradual gradient climb when the not so intelligent automatic transmission does not kick down from 4th gear to 3rd gear. thus it does not make a difference if you drive off with OD=OFF as it only affects the final gear.

instead you should try driving with ECT in POWER mode. allows you to drag all 4 gears....shiok Shocked

you can choose to drive with OD off if you wanna higher FC Mr. Green

usually you can just drop gear when you depress the accelerator harder for AT. use the OD when you feel like playing with the gear box.

Or can choose to use ECT if you wanna race Shocked

no wonder i can only rev til 3 and haf to step alot on the acc.

so driving with OD ON is better rite.. thats wat u all are tryin to say rite?
but hows the FC? issit ALOT or not much difference.

OD on should hv much better FC.
ECT on should hv not as good FC.

You'll need ECT on if wanna have more power. But as we all know tat 'POWER = HIGHER FC'. With ECT on you'll be able to drag all the gears to higher rev.

OD must be on during normal driving to have a better FC.

Petrol rate is sky high nowadays. $1.498/Litre of 98petrol. Shocked
