wah so serious ah..... my car only 2 mth old... ALTIS leh...no cure liao ah....cos its 2 mth old and its a new car i cannot live with the sound.... any hope for the car? Confused

Mr. Green Very uncommon for a 2 mth old car to have these kinda problem leh. Could be the aircon duct. Good luck Cool

Assumin you trade in the original 14" rim set immediately, you should be able to get between $250 ~ $350....however you have to note that since the range is pretty wide, ultimately you need to watch how much you need to top up for your 15" rim/tyre as that would be a good guideline.

On the typical, 15" rims from taiwan are not more then $160 each excluding tyres. rims from Europe/Japan/Australia are much more costly but some maybe lighter and more rigid then the taiwanese rims.

But actually, there is a learning ECU but its a low end one compared to the previous G9 model, the Altis VVT-i ... give a little credit to the Intellegence lah

Hi,

I would like to confirm the function of the passengers' window lock feature. If the window lock button is pressed, understand that all 3 passengers' window will not work. How about the 3 passengers' window control switch at the driver side, will they also not work when the lock button is pressed? Currently mine will not work. Is this normal?

Hello people Very Happy anyone driving altis having same problem as me? when u move off and u rev the rpm till 3 u can hear noise from the dash board.. even when u moving and u want to over take u step till rpm 3 aslo can hear..... any advice wat might cause it? any solution? Crying or Very sad Neutral

What sort of noise?? Can elaborate.. Smile What I hear is the engine rev sound, variable valve opening and closing...sounds like drinking water from a straw.

Is the sound like rattling or something loose that is vibrating? Could be due to loose mounting in the dashboard area or exhaust pipe mountings not tighten properly.

ya its sound like rattling and something loose that is vibrating. can only hear it inside the car with door close. outside cannot hear. getting louder day pass. so irritating the noise.........argh............. Evil or Very Mad Mad

Get it fixed at BM since this an obvious problem. My car also previously have rattling problem from the exhaust mounting and had fixed it. Now so far so good. Laughing

at the ubi area, the popular guys are Yap Brothers and Leong Seng at Paya Ubi Industrial Building (Correct me if the building name is wrong). The prices are fair at these two shops and definitely not the cheapest around too.

It is very difficult to recommend rims as one's taste n likings are all different. Do go with your feel Very Happy

Things to note though are:

Altis PCD 4 x 100
Offset: 38 ~ 43 is fine

Well, i prefer bronze or gunmetal grey rims more. But most important point is the weight and PRICE. Btw, which tyres you guys think it most suitable for singapore road usage?? Bridgestone or Yokohama? Or are there better tyres in your mind?

Personally, chosen Enkei CPS-2, AEZ Icon-5, Gram Lights 57C, Racing Hart CP-035, OZ Superturismo GT, TRD Sports T3.......Arghhhh..... cant make up my mind. Neutral

eh brudder, budget of $200/rim may not allow you to buy some of the rims listed above leh, or maybe my price range abit out leow... cos most of the rims are pretty ex....

there are no best tyre for singapore use actually, it depends alot on individual again ($$ dependent too), whether you are after low noise which will usually result in less grip, or high noise usually with better grip which would translate also to higher wear rate.

a good starting point for comfort tyre with decent grip is Bridgestone GR80. I am personally using Bridgestone GIII, a higher spec tyre.

yokohama Aspec DB is another favourite saloon tyre due to its low noise. they have launched a new tyre, C-Drive. Not sure about its performance yet, but it should be pretty decent.

personally i do not like Falken tyres, no offence to Falken tyre users though.

Bridgestone GR80 is the tyre i'm using currently. Not bad for a cheap tyre.
Hmm...Bridgestone G3 quite popular, i've seen quite a number of car using it.

Speaking of C.Drive from Yokohama. Has anyone try out already? Yokohama AVS series also looks good. Cool

it was probably a typo from the word "body kit" (relates to whole vehicle) thus the translation to "side kit"
