simcity SG Are the front speakers driven by an amp or just the head unit? How much are the CDT HD62? I am looking at the CDT CL series (which is cheapest for CDT).
speedygonzales SG tis morning when i drove, i heard rattling sounds from my side window (driver side)... quite disturbed by it….. i tried to wind down the window and then wind up again n the sound was gone…. oni to come back after a while…. anybody else got tis prob?
deepakvali SG The HD series is about $500. Driven by my RF amp. The lowest range CDT is the Cambria not the Classics. The Classics are intermediate and are good value for money.
deepakvali SG Means my rear speakers are not longer wired up. It is very subjective whether one will need rear speakers as most use it for rear fill, but i think it somehow messes up the sound quality. Hope it answers you.
simcity SG Things I have added to my Altis 1. German leather seats (Done by my in-laws) - Abt $1350 2. NanoLux Ultimax solar film (From NanoLux, can help u all to get discount) Abt $600 3. Mud guards (Got it from TCS forum) $55 4. Advantis 15" sports rims and Yokohama DB Aspec A500 tires (195/60/15) (From Lee Beng Tires) - $820 5. Floor Mat - Abt $50
toyota_lover SG Thanks for your info. Would like to know how the mud guard and floor mat look like. Do you have a digicam? Btw, wats the difference between a $600 Nanolux film and a $300 normal film? Can you guys really tell the differences? But like i mentioned in my previous posting abt films. Survey done among few friends of mine. Films effect seems to fade off after some times (6mth-1yr). Just my own opinion.
toyota_lover SG Well, like i said. I know nuts abt car audio. Are 'Alpine' speakers good for sound clarity?
deepakvali SG Alpine speakers are fine but do take note for sound, its a very subjective statement, my best advice is for you to take a listen. Different pple rate clarity differently but overall Alpine's are decent at its price
altis183 SG Hi guys. I just joined this forum. got my blue altis 3 weeks back. Could anyone pls tell me where can i get the side skirts and also how much its going to cost...including the spraying and installation...thanks in advance...
toyota_lover SG Generally speaking, try to stay below 3k RPM on the 1st 5k km. But once a while above it should not cause any serious damage to your engine. Running in is to loosen up the pistons. You should notice a decrease in FC after 5k-8k km.
toyota_lover SG Bro, so how much do you spend on your system? Care to give a break down on it? $1500 can fetch a decent system with woofer? Including 4 x 6" speaker, 4 x 2" tweeter, 12" sub woofer, wiring and workmanship? Cheapo neh neh
deepakvali SG okie, me system all numbers rounded off.... Front Component Speakers $500 HU $400 Amp $700 Cables $100 Sub $350 Custom Sub Box $80 DIY Sound Damping $200 Fuse box/etc $20 BTW no labour cost involved cos DIY
altis183 SG So you are saying the FC is going to drop? my current is already at 12plus abit....if its going to drop then will drop by how much?Anyway i was hoping some one to tell me where can i install the side skirt and how much?please enlighten....thanks in advance..
toyota_lover SG FC should stay ard 14km/L, depend on your driving method. Side skirt how come you dont get from BM?? $388 if you bought it with your car mah. No lobang for aftermarket. Maybe other bro can help. Btw, wats the difference between component speakers and the normal speakers?
speedygonzales SG gosh.... u guys r having very gd FC.... mine after driving for abt 3 wks hover ard 10-10.6km/l.....
