That is a safety mechanism, Heng. In case, as technically, your
engine is still running, its to prevent someone from disengaging
your handbrake and running off with your car. So once, handbrake is
"down", the time goes off and so does the engine. Anyway, for
petrol stations, you are stopping for a brief period, should be ok.
Just keep the timer running when you actually park.
