My purpose to install a baby timer.......
I'm the type of driver like to stress my engine to the max under NA
configuration. By doing so, the temperature of the engine rises
much more faster and hotter than those who drive casually.
Under stock condition, the themostat may not be able to trigger if
I shut down the engine once I parked my car. Then I will have
cooled coolant left in the radiator and hotter coolant left in the
engine. So it becomes stopping of the circulation of this
coolant. Life spend of the gasket, oil shield, valve
shield and etc will be shorter for sure.
So my purpose is cleared! After a hard drive with the timer set to
on (auto sense mode), I can remove my key, alarm lock my car and go
back home. But at the same time, my engine is still idling and the
coolant is properly well circulated!
Does it make sense?
