Balcony for drying cothings in HDB flats

last SG · 2010-05-15T11:25:57+00:00

in fact, i got a worker here whose HDB flat was upgraded with a balcony, he told me it is a co payment, HDB paid half, he paid half, to build a balcony, and...

angel7030 SG

with those BTOs up, do you think it is a good idea for the govt to built balcony on old HDB flats??

angel7030 SG

...just for drying clothes???

PRP SG

So, PRP, how much does a unit need to fork out? $10,000?

I don't know.Should be affordable if HDB agrees to build. The govt would susidise.

HDB subsidise?? depend on how much you have in your CPF lor

mancha SG

Material cost + labour + professional fees x 300% less 40% = subsidised.

PRP SG

If HDB builds balconies for old flats, it need the support of the majority of the residents to carry out the work -- the residents have the right to vote against it if it is too expensive. So HDB would likely to offer an affordable price for building balconies.

Herzog_Zwei SG

First is whether it is viable to build new balconies in old flats?

Hence it shows that PRP has lousy ideas.

mancha SG

The cost won't be reduced, as the HDB will never collect less, it will collect with a profit. Or else the MBT will be replaced with someone who can make a profit.

Pay up straight away is unaffordable, for most of the poor.

Pay by 20 to 30 year instalment with interest is affordable. But they, the poor, pay more.

So those who have the money pay the exact price, those poor pay more by the affordable price.

PRP SG

Most important of all is whether HDB would accept my idea. The opinions of the gang of four are not important.

So the opinions of common Singaporeans not important but the opinion of HDB is important? What nonsense!!!

Herzog_Zwei SG

How about this:

PRP goes to Orchard Road with a huge signboard hanging from his neck and a shotgun loaded with buckshot attached to his dick. The signboard will contain his proposal to HDB for the balcony and a caption for people who disagree with his idea to pull the trigger of the shotgun. If PRP's idea is accepted by the general public, he should get through at least for half an hour without anyone pulling the trigger otherwise his idea is totally fucked up.

One of your opinions is my idea is lousy and without giving any reasons. How would I consider this kind of opinion?

HDB can make a decison to adopt my idea. What can you do?

Why would HDB adopt an idea that goes against their objective?

PRP SG

Herz's shifu and shimu has stopped debating with me. Their low IQ deciple or comarde still doesn't want to give up.

Your opinion is ridiculous and reasons are given.

You have given HDB only two options:

1. They must accept your ideas. 2. They cannot reject your ideas.

I have said PRP = PAP.

You like the PAP is not open to discussion. Just pretend only.

PRP SG

Mancha,

I didn't give HDB the 2 options as you mention.Where do you get them?

After my rebutals,u still think your view is right. After my rebutal, u could rebut if u were not satisfied. But many times, u didn't do so.Now u charge I am not open for discussion. What's wrong with u?

mancha SG

Mancha,

HDB has already incorporated balconies.

People are known to close up the balconies.

I brough these points up.

Your proposal is a balcony solely for drying clothes. A narrow purpose, needing law to govern it.

Others, more than 4, have pointed out that it is not feasible. But you are insistent that HDB accept your idea.

Whats wrong with u?

There is nothing wrong with him, the wanting of a balcony to hang cloth maybe a distraction from the real purpose, the ulterior motive or so called the main can be that with a balcony, he can jump privately and more easily.

Devil7030 SG

Angel, u don't like that leh, his other threads eg Singapore Elected President should work for free already dies off le, if u shoot down his balcony for drying clothes somemore, then he can longer claim that his ideas are better than that of the PM and former deputy PM Dr Goh Keng Swee, he will feel dejected. u want to offer him discounts to drown his sorrow in ur pub or not.

Herzog_Zwei SG

Actually if PRP dies, no SIngaporean will mourn for him.
