A "Wall of Text" is offered when one has much details to
offer on a subject that has been researched for the benefit of
discussion by any interested parties.
In this piece offered by the X-rat, what details can possibly
come from the bankrupt mind that is better known for its
accomplished Art of Plagiarism ?
Cheap labour, Arapahoe, to put in bluntly. Western powers aint
as noble as you assume them to be. Our forefathers slogged like
hell for them, to give them profits and cheap goods in their giant
supermarts, in exchange for a little cash from them to grow and
learn their tricks. They werent even paying top dollar.
Does this not sound familiar to the PAP wage policies for
Singapore, when the interests of foreign investors take precedence
over Singaporean wages ?
Has the PAP not succumb to the demands for "Cheap labor" - when - "to put in bluntly. Western
powers aint as noble as you assuem them to be" ?
How did the X-rat discover that there were giant supermarts during the time of
our forefathers ?
Which period did the forefathers of the X-rat live in ?
Were there "giant
supermarts" in the 1950's, or '60s, or '70s ?
How old is or was the forefather of an X-rat for the
"giant supermart" to
exist then ?
If our forefathers were slogging like hell for
the "Western powers 'who' aint
as noble... to give them profits and cheap goods"
- does the X-rat think that Singapore workers today
are working with better wages at the factories,
shipyards, and laboratories, when there are no minimum wages, and
Singaporeans have to compete with cheap foreign workers for the
same jobs ?
The only few countries they tried to impose politics of
democracy was Vietnam and we knew how it ended up. Philippines was
another, but I am sure you are no Marcos fan.
Was democracy ever introduced into Vietnam - which remained
Communist since Dien Bien Phu got the French out of Indochina, and
since Communist roll over into the South in 1974 ?
Or is the X-rat alluding to the Western powers holding the line
to prevent Communism to roll through Southeast Asia at the end
of WW-2 and the Korean War ?
Obviously, the X-rat failed in history to note that LKY was an
ardent supporter of the USA's effort to keep Communism out of
Southeast Asia, and had allowed a R+R Center for the wild
parties that the US GI's were seeking as an escape from the
war.
By holding the line to prevent Communism from creating a domino
effect in rolling over Southeast Asia - are the Western Powers not
already being benevolent in the sacrifice of men's lives, the
resources of their countries in finance and material to fight those
wars ?
If one is not a Marcos fan, what could possibly be
the X-rat's ambivalent wishy-washy opinion about
democracy in the Philippines ?
Taiwan was rich but was no democracy till the authoritarian
Marshal Chiang stepped down in the late century. Korean democracy
was marred by strikes regularly, that these western companies
withdrew, resulting in their mafia called the Chaebols ruled. Hong
kong was a free wheeling island, payed no taxes, owed no loyalty to
anyone saved themselves.
Was Taiwan rich under Generalissimo Chiang Kai Shek, or were the
Taiwanese richer after Chiang and his son died without anymore
scions to extend their lineage ?
Is the X-rat attempting to change facts in Taiwans political and
economic history with its own skewed knowledge ?
How did the X-rat come to a stupendous conclusion that the
Korean Chaebols are "mafia organisations" ?
Did the X-rat confused these Korean family conglomerates
that were equivalent to the Japanese family owned Zaibatu
- some of which were taken over by the Japanese 'mafia' known as
the Yakuza ?
The idiocy in the X-rat background seems to have elevated to a
tertiary status with the outrageous claim that Hong Kong
free-wheeling economy require no taxes to be paid, and no loyalty
to anyone saved themselves ?
Only the foolish and empty mind of a X-rat that is flooded with
the PAPa propaganda will tarnish the history of every neighboring
country so as to make the PAPa's works look better.
So what western democratic 'values' or 'assistance' are you
referring to that enabled the 4 tigers to developed themselves?
Freedom to be freely exploited by the west?
The X-rat should show more gratitude on behalf of his old
PAPa towards Harold Wilson for the aid that was given, or the Tunku
would have thrown his old PAPa into jail, and Singapore
would still remain as a minority State in Malaysia.
The X-rat should pray a 1000 times a day for the souls of
250,000 young American lives, who were conscripted to fight foreign
wars across the Pacific during WW2, during the Korean War, and
during the Vietnam War - that allowed Southeast Asians to recover
our independence, and to be free from oppressive rules of the
Colonials, the Japanese, and subsequently from Communism.
The X-rat should study more from his Old PAPa to understand the
need for the Western Powers to continue to invest in Singapore with
no minimum wages, and for the need to support the US war efforts in
Iraq, Afghanistan, to support the Western Powers fight against the
Somali Pirates, so that Singapore will remain to be a good place to
be exploited by the Western Powers.
All these done in exchange for the taxes earned to purchase
high-tech weapons made available for the SAF to protect old
PAPa and ensure no freak election will happen to PAPa's political
system.
The only thing that helped the 4 tigers were its hardworking
people, pursuing a better life for their next generations while
working in sweatshops for the West. I would grant you that if the
West had not been such decadent consumerists, trade would not have
happen and there would be no money to evolve our own poliltical
standards.
Only the hot air from a X-rat will make it believe that old
PAPa has made everything possible for Singapore, and that
Singaporeans are incapable for the success - even as it
believe that "hardworking people
makes the miracle of the 4 tigers possible working in sweat
shops for the West".
What "political standards" does the X-rat have in its tiny mind,
when commenting on the success of the economies of the 4 Tigers -
which have economic success that are as divergent today as is
their political system ?
Is this not another flop attempt of a X-rat attempting to spout
hot air in some political thinking that barely deal with reality,
but based on its own wild speculation based on some flight of fancy
thinking ?
And evolution of politics had always been our country's
strength. Democracy cannot happen overnight as USSR had proven. It
takes patience and time. We are no longer an authoritarian state of
the 60s but a full fledged democracy as proven by achieving FDI
approval status, if that matters to you.
Russia failed in its democratic reforms as it tried to pushed
for Glasnotz and Perestroika in less then ONE
year.
Singapore has had Self-government in a guided Parliamentary
Democracy under the British Colonial Rule since 1953 till 1963
- when Singapore was merged into Malaysia, and continuing
with the Parliamentary Democratic form of Government.
From 1965 until this date, Singapore form of government has all
the superficial forms of a Parliamentary Democracy, that would have
given Singapore a total of more then
half-a-century of experience in democracy.
Is that not sufficient time for Singapore compared to the failed
democracy of Russia ?
Is there any relevance in the comparison of the Russian
experience with Singapore's own circumstances ?
If at all, the democratic practices of the 1950s is
now a sham, and hidden under the thin veneer of
Parliamentary Democracy lies a Communist style government that
controls every aspect of Political Life, a Beijing style of
sanctioned political representation of a cross-section of society,
a Fascist state that is intolerant of any other public voices, a
tightly controlled print and broadcast medias.
It is not a surprise that the Ruling Political Party
has been entrenched in Government for such a long time
that it has turned into a monolithic entity.
It had involved itself in the lives of every citizen as a major
employer, as a provider of all essential services that include
housing, food, utilities, transport, education, and as investor
into strategic industries, manufacturing of industrial and
consumer goods, and into financial and banking services.
The X-rat must be deluded to believe that Singapore is NOT an
Authoritarian State.
So too will China evolve in time from its present state. But if
you presume authoritarian states would give a care for FDI
status from the west to give up their ways, just look at North
Korea and Burma. They wouldnt give a damn, They have India and
China for their trade needs, so they will not play to the western
carrot dangling outside their eyes.
Will the X-rat dare to adopt similar arrogant attitude
for Singapore to defend our dignitty under the same
circumstances as faced by the governments of North Korea
and Myanmar ?
Or does the X-rat believe that old PAPa will not succumb to
eat the humble pie, when pressure is placed on old PAPa to
change its ways of abusive politics towards the brave Singaporeans,
who dare to exercise their Citizen's responsiblity for
the political future of Singapore ?
The British parliament grew from trade guilds, the americans
fought the brits for trade rights and the russians grew sick
of lining up for loafs of bread, not because of communist
tirades.
Is this the convenient interpretation of history of the X-rat by
making brief forays into the historical past ?
How did the bankrupt mind of the X-rat reinterprete
Britain's History when it was clearly due to the abuses of the
King of England that resulted in the Parliamentary system being
introduced, which removed the sovereign powers to directly rule the
entire country ?
Did the "American fight the
Brits for trade rights", or was the fight for
independence due to the unfair taxes imposed by the
British Crown - that began with the Boston Tea Party ?
Did "the russian grew sick of lining up for loafs of bread" and
QUIETLY broke free from the shackles of Communist Rule, or was
there daily noisy demonstrations against the bankrupt ideas
of authoritarian Communist oligarchs ?
Was it not a fact that the Russian grew tired of the Communist
tirades to work harder even as the "bread line" got longer, and
decided that there MUST BE CHANGE ?
It is trade, that evolves the politics of nations. With
earnings that can be spread to the population, a strong middle
class will grow, whom will demand and set the pace for a greater
say in their lives and eventually freedom.
Only a bankrupt mind of a X-rat will believe that nations evolve
from trades, as if there do not exist the desires of politics for
political unions to take place between different communities of
people to merge for their mutual survival ?
The theme of the X-rat is to propagate the PAPa's thinking which
it plagiarize again for its own way of dumbing down the
message - by claiming that it is not in the interest of the
Citizens to pay attention to Politics, but that Trade and
Commerce is our only focus.
It is the old PAPa's philosophy created by Goh Chok Tong
that "Politics should be for Politicians" - which this X-rat
is dishonest not to clearly indicate but will deliberately dumb
down the message by its X-rat intelligence.
Democracy or communism, both are only lofty
ideals. If flawed men ruled in either system, that
society will still fail.
Can any of the system fail under the rule of flawed men
?
Did the X-rat not claimed that "our forefathers worked in hell to give
profits" and that "Tigers were made by the hardworking
people" ?
How did "Hong
Kong become a free wheeling place that owed loyalty to no
one" when it had no political system of any kind and
even became a Tiger economy ?
Was there a leader of any kind in Hong Kong ?
It is Capitalism, in its basic form, that provides
trade, the lifeblood of our world, regardless of authoritarian,
corrupt or enlightened rule. It was Trade from the decadent west,
and not benevolent lofty politics, that evolved us.
Does the X-rat believe that Capitalism can exist without any
leadership of any kind ?
The X-rat must have been a total failure in its
"rat-race" world for its poor knowledge of the Capitalist
ways.
Only a X-rat is capable of being blind the decadence of
the East that allowed the decadent West to colonise the East
and allow abusive domination to take hold.
Not benevolent because Trade had always been a 2 way street.
Nothing is free. Best we make that clear and wise up to facts.
How did the X-rat conclude that Trade has to involve any degree
of benevolence, or even has to result in a "2-way street"
relationship ?
Was there a "2-way street" trade relationship between Japan and
the USA during the 1960s through the 1980s - when Japan was
registering surplus more then the US ?
Did China conduct an honest "2-way street" trade relationship
with the USA in the 1990s till this date, which saw repeated annual
surplus that boosted China's National Reserves and created a huge
trade deficit that sorely highlighte the trade imbalance between
China and the USA ?
Even the Europeans had complained against China.
What has the message been from the X-rat - after the "Wall
of Text" has been carefully examined ?
The entire exercise was based on flawed thinking that had no
focus in any single direction, featured contradictions and
fantasies ideas.
The only clear message is seen in a plagiarized idea that
was dumbed down by the stupendous intelligence that simply
overwhelm the capacity of a tiny mind in the X-rat.
It is best that the ignorance of the X-rat is best kept to
itself.
