I remembered my first lesson. At first tot I got a lot of experience driving game simulations e.g. GT3 and tot driving is simple, but alas I was wrong. Driving needs a lot of practices. Practice until itz like a 2nd reflex of your body.

I also remembered everytime I go for lessons(BBDC), always kana tekan session....everytime always kana him 1. Everytime the instructor scold scold scold until I dun feel like going to the lessons anymore, bcos tat instructor very strict and wan to improve my judgements in pankicing situations(e.g. yelling and scold until the whole car shakes...I panic when someone yells at me) and my alertness. I let him yell until my interest in the lessons become fear of going to the lessons.

But I wan to thank him today for wat he had cultivate me into... a careful, safe and alert driver who will remain calm and even in the most pankicing situation and react fast enough to save both my life and my passangers' lives... and maybe even save myself from burning a big hole in my pocket. Reaction during near accident situations is like a reflex from an extra limp.

All I wan to say is... wat and how you learn is up to you. If you have the heart, patience and persistance, you'll excel. I wish you the best of luck. Hope to see you driving on the roads, brudder..!!

It's true lah, sometimes it's quite unbearable to what the instructor says, but in fact those that are strict and uses harsh remarks are some what like testers' standard. The 1st test I took, I kanna critised by the tester until like dunno wat.

Then I just passed my practical yesterday, 6 points, partly think thanks to all the criticisms I received, so the main thing is to take it easy, take in all the learning points and leave out the harsh words

A few tips for BBDC students I dunno if this helps but just sharing . This tips was given to me by my instructor years back ...

1. The zebra corssing just infront of the MOTORCYCLE TRAINING AREA ... Remember to keep a lookout

2. The mini yellow box infront of reverse parking number 31. From traffic light stopline to yellow box , if you are coming straight from the slope , you can stop just infront of the stopline but if you are coming out frlp reverse parking lot 35 or 31 do not enter the yellow box if the traffic light is RED

3.Reverse parking lot number 45 . If you are coming out from this parking lot , don't be afraid that you are making a wide turning to the crank course area as even if you full lock your steering wheel , you can't get iinto the left lane.

4. Turning out to main road from motorcycle training area . TAKE NOTE NOT TO CROSS THE WHITE PAINT DIVIDER

The thing is i’m guess you are able to get your license in about 20 lessons, and that might be just over 40 plus hours of driving total only. So don’t worry about this. I used to freak out and feel sad when i’m having a bad driving day or have a lousy instructor. The thing is you must trust you own judgement sometimes. YOU are the one who is driving, cannot always listen to what the person beside tell you what to do. It all boils down to the amount of driving experience you have, the more you drive, the more you get better. Don’t let one session of lesson demoralize you. You need to feel confident everytime before you even step into the car. I hope this helps…

It feel disappointed when I got rebuked after I give my confidence and attention during the lesson .

This week I cancel my mon and tues and wed slot.
book my lesson on thursday n friday only. dun want to see my instructor so fast .

get my license in 20 lessons? sigh sigh I really hope I can make it and prove to be better than my sister who is ahead of me , she is taking her test in May .

But I really feel a lot better to rant in here . Thanks thanks!! Thursday must buked up again!

i learned my driving at ssdc, first 5 lessons were all cocked up, but after that i got thru smoothly.. completed all at 18 lessons.. btw the filter lane no need to full lock... will only cause u to have sharp turning... juz turn alittle, when reaching out, look right and front repeatedly for abt 3 times.. then clear check left and go... look straight ahead and far dun look somewhere else, rear mirror dun look too long as ur car will go toward left or right and wont go straight...

most impt.. must tell urself u can 1.. u are the best student in the driving centre (haha to boost urself, although mayb u are not lol) then can liao.. my father always tell me, the car must scared of u, not u scared of the car..

i belief diff instructor got diff approach of driving la.. last time when i was taking my class 3 prac.. some instructor like my pattern of driving, some juz detest it.. dun care la as long as u are observing rules and u feel comfortable of ur pattern of driving...

got one let me race and win an Integra Type R on my very 1st on the road lesson, then another let me drive at 50km/h in the small roads around jalan teck whye, neber ask me slow down, only go back circuit liao then make noise about it.

For the mini yellow box in front of reversing parking lot 31. is the opposite. you must stop behind the yellow box if u are coming from the slope. u can turn out and stop in the yellow box if u r turning out.

For this is opposite, if u are coming from the slope to the mini yellow box. u should stop behind the yellow box for vehicle to turn out. and if u turning out from the number 31. you can stop inside the yellow box when red lights. only motorcycles coming from the slope can stop inside the yellow box behind the stopline if u are the first bike..

Newbie driver here. Took 3 times to finally convince TP that I can drive.. First time got axed because a bike move off suddenly while i was making a turn (you know how bikes like to stop at the side inside the circuit and listen to instructor talk) Second time was nearing traffic light (still at green this time), turn red and i had to come to a sudden halt coz someone step out onto the road suddenly~ Sigh~ so in my opinion when taking the test, drill into ur brain the word "SAFETY" and hope you're lucky that day.... Luck plays a big part~

-ps- twist ur head whenever ur not travelling straight. they're damn particular about blind spots

My fren passed his driving test with less than 15 lessons under his belt... when we heard that, the rest of us all 'bai4 ta1'... Damn power sia he... Hehe...

But when it comes to passing your test, I find that safety and confidence go hand in hand... you must have confidence in your driving, show the instructor you know what you're doing, show that you're in control... but at the same time, make sure you know all the safety rules and adhere to them... especially when you want to change lanes... hehe...

Just have to remember, safety is always more important than confidence, but you must show both to pass...

why didn't you try for a private instructor?? I took the private one coz I want same instructor.... better to access my progress. at half the price some more... all in all i spend only $1100. $33 for non peak and $36 for peak hours, always drop me at MRT stations oso... anyone want can PM me for my driving instructors number.... nice guy, never scold only tease tease until you get the point.

I pass on first try. Very Happy
