Yes, I think there was some confusion there.

If a media is under control of PAP regime and it follows the agenda of PAP regime, I do not find anything wrong with that.

For example if SDP website spreads SDP propaganda. That is okay.

What I object to is when all medium is under control of PAP regime to spread their propaganda.

So SDP sets up a site to propagate that is okay.

But when all sites in the world is under SDP control to spread SDP propaganda, that is not okay.

seriously, mainstream media eg TV print and radio do not actively praise PAP. Yes, the news are a little bias.... but you do not get propaganda messages in between TV commercials.

by all thoughts and intents... mainstream media do no propagate government policies.... news propagate government policies....

it's the NEWS that is where propaganda is.... not mainstream media per se.

different people see different stuff. i see a normal tv programme. others see a PAP propagada.

any tv programme that will make people feel inclined to vote for PAP after watching it?

that is not true. A good eg is that show on ch8, the hdb dwellers in the rented flat, the characters in the show were praising that the govt in sg are good a few times. Some people know how to tell if it is propaganda but there are still many who just simply are brainwashed.

Poh Ah Pak SG

That was only the tip of iceberg only.

Fantagf SG

Do you watch Singapore mainstream media?

does not seem like he is watching the mainstream TV or just simply refuse to acknowledge the existence of propaganda in mainstream tv channels.

Poh Ah Pak SG

It is not that there is existence of propaganda in mainstream media.

But the mainstream media IS propaganda.

Fantagf SG

It is not that there is existence of propaganda in mainstream media.

But the mainstream media IS propaganda.

To be fair, not everything on the mainstream media is propaganda.

Poh Ah Pak SG

To be fair, not everything on the mainstream media is propaganda.

Singapore mainstream media is nothing but the propaganda mouth piece of PAP regime to me.

It is nothing but state propaganda.

It exists to spread state propaganda.

It is so much propaganda once the lee kuan yew took over as pm.

He needs a good propaganda machine to win elections and to brainwash people to follow his dictates.

Fantagf SG

Agree. It would be very interesting to see if there are changes after he passes on.

it may be difficult to seperate truth from half truth, it is easy to determine if all media is propaganda. all i need to do is list one that is not.

for the internet, that will be the STforums, which is hosted by straits times. for the actual newspaper, it will be in the reader's letter column, where some columnist will write about the government policies.

Poh Ah Pak SG

Singapore mainstream media is easy.

It is all mostly state propaganda.

There is no opposition propaganda.

all political stuff... so boring... most people watch tv for 2 things.. entertainment and news. political stuff is on internet and kopitiam.

if someone really set up a political channel, the station will most probably go bankrupt from lack of viewers.
