1st, i do understand the laws of economics, and what repercussions
might arise from such a price alteration. so don't undermine me by
saying "your little theory". i'm not ignorant, you
adduced my assertion which was flawed.
2nd, i did make a mistake in my post , after reading it for the
second time, but like most of the time, you go on flaming forum
members here before clarification.. judge yrself before you judge
others.. cos everyone is flawed.
3rd, when bentley was acquired by bmw, and when the new mini was
released under bmw, bmw stocks did go up. the price of the mini,
like all new cars, was inflated. But over time, the price did
fall.. so, my question, finally, is why the price of an elise did
not dip when a new model is coming up this year. maybe cos of the
lack of demand? exclusivity? lack of marketing in the peninsula,
despite it's parent company's location.
whoops. relac lah zeussie, heng tends to be quite zealous in
voicing his opinion but, he really doesn't mean to flame
anyone.
i think it's still the brand thingy that the price hasn't dropped.
traditionally, lotus has always produced cars rivalling top
manufacturers like ferraris, aston martins and such. think about
the reputation world wide if the prices of the elise were on par
with a jap rocket?
personally, i'd prefer to mod a s2k to go fast and a 350z to look
nice. one has got more "go fast" potential being light and agile
whilst the other has "looks good" potential being heavy but
sporty.
