difference in viewpoints mah...

I hv to say I have learned lots from SC debates here about Singapore and about presenting points. Think it helped when I successfully defended my thesis during Q&A session...

The final test of whether it has helped me will be this coming Tuesday, which will be essay questions on engineering professionalism... a lot of logical answers till there's no right or wrong... as long as you raise points to defend your points... In short, must write rubbish in a logical manner.

..LOL..

... this bloody reminds me of FAP - rubbish spoken in logical manner...!!

fumigation of 1 room rental flats is always done or bear by town council cost.

if any unit require fumigation, respective town council should be involved.

if bedding involve should contact their respective senior activity centre person-in-charge

e.g Sarah SAC, Mr Richard De Roza

If everything should should should, you should go organise the same event and show them you can do it with much lesser funds than them.

You are one that talks a lot but do nothing.

The email sent out to volunteers wasn't even meant for you; you are obviously not a supporter of their cause and method and thus most likely not to be in their volunteer database.

zaxis SG

then too bad, get them to clean up their data base.

profit making from volunteer, make no different from event management company.

If you are in their database and you don't like it, it is your responsibility to voluntarily withdraw from the database. No one is putting a gun on your head to force to accept and read their emails. You have so much queries, yet don't even have the guts to email an enquiry => obviously the type that wait for things to happen only.

And please explain how much they can profit from the monthly Operation Homeworks with the collections of only $1k from the volunteers going, after deducting T-shirts, food and the other accessories, logistics and etc.

Uncle Ver SG SG

no need to argue. Zaxis let them to continue to do what they want - if people are willing to pay and volunteer at the same time let them loh. If you say not for profit organizations should face greater scruntiny by the IRA, then we should raise this issue to the opposition. The ones with nothing to hide has nothing to fear.

eagle SG

Precisely. Whined about an email not even meant for him.

Uncle Ver SG SG

I personally feel there will be less volunteers (I could be wrong) if you ask people to contribute both time AND money for a T-shirt that people dont really need. If the volunteers are really charitable and have the means, they WOULD do both (without the additional cost of a Tshirt and can BYO food).

That being said, I strongly believe that not for profit financials have to be as tightly scrutinized as private sector companies especially those that have lots of assets and/or large donations.

zaxis SG

let sky keep them "read in hokkien"

lucky have me inside their data base, now other VWO will know their wrong doing.

if without the man who repair NKF toilet, who would know NKF has golden water tap.

best wan bao and sunday time all will be reporting the "Paid to be volunteer"

"Omy.com also has this topic"

still waiting to read their fiancial report!

how many house they had build?

how many has start re-payment?

how many companies had paid to join them? donate to them? claim double tax deduction?
