The law is difficult to enforce.So no need to worry if one has homosex in privacy.

The law is present. It is already evidence it is illegal. Thus u cannot state tat homosexual can have sex in private because it is illegal to have sex in private

The purpose of sex is also enjoyment. And most, and I mean 99% of the world population people in tis world have sex some time in their life simply for enjoyment. If tat is the case everybody is guilty. And u should state a law banning all contraceptives too

So what next? The law on assault will not be enforced? That of murder? Of drug trafficking? Or horror of horrors, that of slander?

Having an ACTIVELY NON-ENFORCED law makes an extremely big mockery of Singapore's claws and constitution. It's not simply a matter of gay rights.

Fact is, our government is willing to bear the "mockery" of having a non enforced law. Even if the govt does not love gays, can anyone say the govt is all out to get them, like we are going all out to tekan drug traffickers, sex offenders, murderers etc.?

And also, how's the non-enforcement of 377A going to be? If a person shows the police photographic/video evidence of a homosexual act, is the police going to act on the evidence and arrest the perps?

If no, what is the bleeding point of the law? You might as well create laws to ban everything you don't like and that goes against your personal prejudices.

You're lucky I'm not in the legislative. I'd push for a 'non-enforceable' law banning all religion, seeing how religion can drive people to suicide bombings and the like, but yet do not want to alienate the religious.

You do realise your red herring about AIDS incidence and homosexuality bears a very close resemblance to this, do you?

Against nature? Animals are doing it. Humans are doing it. Hell, some animals can even change their 'sex' as & when they please.

I think you mean ONE OF the purpose of sex is to procreate. If the purpose of every single sex are for the females to get pregnant, then why people find prostitutes? To get them pregnant?! People are just wanted to enjoy the moment of having sex duh!

Seriously, no need for all the debates. One day, IF your child happen to turn out to be a homosexual, what will you do. Force them to love someone they doesn't? Hate them?
