The only people who think of the 600sq km island as their motherland are only the PAP elites and the Malays.

One reason why US want to occupy Hawaii is because it is a strategic location to establish a navy base. US has established a lot of military base overseas because of their strategy to fight wars at other people's land. Whatever war they fight, it always take place at other people's land and not theirs. They send army to Iraq, Afghanistan to "protect" americans. If the win the war, they will gain more control of oil and setup more military base. What if they lose the war , they just withdraw their army, their industry remains intact. Then the country that they fought at will go backward for decades in development.

That is weird, I still can contact a friend who lives in Tibet.
If what you say is true, seriously you can report this to CNN, they are more than happy to put any news to stab china.
As far as I know, they haven't put any news that say house phone, handphone, inernet at tibet is cut off from the world.

i just did on skype ... halfway through the dailtone got weird, as if it got switched over from another network ... not the normal dialtone of skype when you call other destinations .... I couldn't get through for your purported monastery ... and I only heard breathing from the first of your shops when I called, no one said a thing ....

I still couldn't get to my tibetan acquaintances however, whom I tried right after ... who happen to be tibetan civilians btw, not transplanted chinese businessmen (or maybe chinese intelligence? ) ....

Maybe the American democrats etc. should protest against Singapore or China as well or threaten boycott. Why dont you ask the Americans or Australians to do that (not the French surrender monkeys)?
