u have to come here to experience it.

but personally, it is the push factor that compel me to move on. be it canada, australia, uk or us. bascially,
- i was poor, young and adult
- not smart
- ass luck in employment
- ass luck in getting tertiary education
- pass over for jobs in banks by indian FT interviewers.
- forced army conscription and reservist.
- forced organ donation
- craps from the mainstream media
- craps from the PAP telling how pathetic and lousy sporeans are. (testtube washer, remember?)
- ageism. never seen a 40+ years old engineer
- IT profession. totally gone case in SG.
- son is under immense stress in SG schools.
- always have issue with obedience to PAP.
- cant see a future when i hit 40-50 in my career.
- saw my friends in their 50s relinquishing to their fate as if they live from day to day.
- cant stay put.
- farking stressed out....

Chinese saying; "building of other's prosperity on top of my misery". im making sure that PAP and FTs will get no such benefits from me..

Yes the mainland chinese and indians are all over the world now. So what? Protectionism for the win. If they are capable , they get permanent residency like I did and hide under the shelter of protectionism for the sake of our pay wallets. If they are dumb , they are literally asking to be exploited in a foreign country.

I competed against a few indians and chinese in Australia - I have to say those are really first class to get to where they are.

The ones you have back in Singapore are the ones who cannot make it to Australia, UK, USA or Europe. They are able to come to Singapore because they undercut the locals and get experience - then jump overseas for more money.

Singapore is just at the receiving end of second-class and below type of FTs at the expense of Singaporeans. To this extent , I think that Singapore might as well get an cheaper FT to be a minister to run the country and be better off than paying millions .

I don't disagree with you and neither am I adverse to relocating permanently to another country. I'm just trying to highlight that before we call foreigners in Singapore names or complain about them, we would do well to understand and be prepared for such reactions when we become foreigners ourselves. I believe Pauline Hanson's call for a white Australia was not motivated by race issues but primarily one of competition. People started to eat Asian food rather than fish and chips if you get what i mean.

As such, dreaming of moving abroad for a better life while calling foreigners in Singapore names just doesn't seem right to me.

Not calling them names - they are really second class or below type of FTs. It's a fact. If they are americans , australians or english , they are truly at the bottom of their game unless they are sitting on top of the MNC branch in Singapore. Even then most have to move to Singapore because their home country has more capable fellas running the show. There is a few just wanting an experience of asia and then pack up and go home after 2 years with no problems and a job offer back in their home country.

If they are just workers with a fancy title and no power over executive decisions , they are second rate. And that is the position of most of your FTs .

If they are capable in the first place - they will be rotating between USA and Europe. USA is where the brain drain drains to. 2nd is Canada / Europe and third is Australia because it has a few core research industries .

I hear of them getting nobel prize winners or olympics medalists over but I never hear of Singapore getting anything. Look at the China born athletes imported by Singapore- NONE HAVE WON HER A MEDAL YET.

Best way for Singapore now : get a cheaper FT to run the country than the overpaid ministers. Maybe the cheaper FTs will do a better job for less – much much less.

Not really. I am clarifying what you think I am saying.

In regards to Pauline Hanson , it wasn't of competition that she was whining about . You hear more languages here than in Singapore. Some people can't even speak english. She conveniently forgot about the european migrants such as the greeks and italians who like to speak their languages.

I would say that she thinks that migrants come and suck their welfare money , the convenient ones to blame are the ones who stick out like a sore thumb rather than the ones who cannot speak the language but can hide under the cover because they look like part of the majority.

In another words , she made a poor judgement , had poor choice of words and was in part racist. However you can't call her a liar from what I observed in both med/east european , middle eastern and certain asian migrants.

Yes we are. You choose to discuss Pauline Hanson - so I expressing my opinion of her.

You think that me calling FTs in Singapore second rate is unjustified. I am justifying it with a good cause because the FT policy was created at the expense of Singaporeans and it is a fact that most of the so called foreign talents aren't not so talented.

Why do you think so many Singaporeans in this forums who keep talking about migrating also seem to focus on the FT part?

Let me clarify things alright.

1) There has been some unhappiness over FTs in Singapore from numerous threads here.

2) People call the FT here names and dream about life abroad. What I'm trying to say is that competition is everywhere. Indians and PRC here, Indians in PRC everywhere alright. If one goes abroad one might be called names as well. What goes around comes around.

3) I raised the Pauline Hanson issue to show that most unhappiness are caused by competition. We can say that PRC cannot speak English, bad manners blah blah blah but ultimately the cause of unhappiness is competition.

That is all i'm saying and never did i "You think that me calling FTs in Singapore second rate is unjustified".
