I dissagree. I find the SDP website, for one, greatly dissappointing. It gave me the idea that him and his party is opposing for the sake of opposing (like everything also oppose regardless of good or bad).

The above is just the attitude, unrealistic saying from an arrogant and immature mind. Not to worry, people, his words don't carry weight. It is clear he is merely here to quarrel, to ridicule and offend people.

If you claim you are a doctor, go spend more time treating your patients rather than spend your time here so unwisely. Medical professors said it is vital for doctors to have good character, do you have one?

Hi,

The people and voters should decide what kind of opposition Singaporeans want.

However, I feel that the present electoral system tampered with by the PAP government over time favours bigger political parties.

Hence, personally, I would prefer opposition parties try to consolidate into two and not more than three. There are parties that practically run with less than 20 members, even 10. Running an election or daily party operations to a minimum standard requires more than this amount of manpower/womanpower.

... but the GRCs is a double edged sword if the opposition managed to win one of them the party would have quite a no of members in the parliament in one shot. wp was close to doing tat in the last election. it could happen one day. the credibility and quality of the opposition member is important also, they must be good men and women so ppl want to vote for them.

I absolutely agree. In the context of GRCs, bigger political parties stand a better chance in finding a slate and supporting it with adequate grassroots and admin hands. Hence, my earlier statement.

Nevertheless, understanding that not everyone can see eye-to-eye with one opposition party, I advocate two to three for maximum participation from Singaporeans. At present, I believe there are about 9 contactable ones that see a level of movement, some with as little as 4 active members and many with less than 20.

How u judge good men or women, aren't the oppositions have lawyers and doctors also but they too lost the GE. In the last election in Aljunied GRC, no body from the opposition is good according to the PM.

How can any oppositions be 'good', when every rule & resource (financial especially), is controlled by the ruling party? Level playing field they call this? It's rockier, muddier, and bumpier than the roads in Africa!!

And the PM's "good" alright.... good in increasing living costs, operating costs, and raising his own salaries..!!!

Good for himself that is - not the people...

I tell you one day when they realize they lose the Elections, I will not be surprised if they use force to stay in power!
