Pascal's Wager is the application by the French philosopher and mathematician, Blaise Pascal, of decision theory to the belief in God (also known as Pascal's Gambit).

We are faced with the following possibilities:
1. You live as though God exists.
. If God exists, you go to heaven: your gain is infinite.
. If God does not exist, your loss is nothing.

2. You do not live as though God exists.
. If God exists, you go to hell: your loss is infinite.
. If God does not exist, you gain nothing & lose nothing.

With these two possibilities, and the principles of statistics, Pascal attempted to demonstrate that the only prudent course of action is to live as if God exists. There is no third possibility.

Besides treatment, some doctors and scientists also believe in the healing power of prayer. You can try a two-pronged attack on your cancer or other illness.

I am praying for your full recovery. With almighty God anything is possible. Try to think get help from private hospital like mount alvernia which to me is charging reasonable rates. Think positive as by being more positive it will help.

gahmen hospitals!!!! So many real stories about the way patients are treated badly. Those who are treated well are just lucky. Don't go SGH, someone found out the needle in the chest after the op and sent complaint to SGH! This is just one of the many cases. Gahmen hospital provide good service and treatment to the gahmen. They have special unit set up to coordinate appointments for the VIPs like the ministers. So goes without saying they the gahmen have the priority over the ordinary folks. Mr. Green and just to add, fees are not cheap. If you are subsidised you will get those training doctors - Medical Officers, House Officers, Registrars to see you. YOu want those good experience senior doctors, you gotta be private patients. Waiting time is always very long. Service is usually and normal poor especially SGH. Mr. Green

Although I DO NOT know you, eversince you told me it is 'very likely cancer', my thoughts keeps going to you daily...

All I can say is, yes you should pray (I pray for you too), and all that the rest here have suggested also work to help you pull through.

It is easier for me to say, I know, but it is IMPORTANT tha you keep your spirits up and remain as POSITIVE as possible...

When the docs & mangement staff are bad or lazy ,they should be responsibled for their actions.They can't just say the system is no good,the minister is no good,etc.Even if the system is really no good,they can still do a good job if they want.Of course,the fault is the system can't find out their wrong doing so they can get away with it.

I think the govt should appoint me to be the 2nd minister for health and I would fix the problems for them.I would not ask for very high pay & Dr Khaw can get most of the minister pay.Any supporter?
